Kirtan / Honoring Mother Earth

Welcome to an evening of community kirtan, dedicated to honor our beloved Mother Earth and all her children. Together we will sing and dance her praise, and connect our heart's intention to care for Her by caring for nature and all Life. In connection to the upcoming earth day, we will offer a special earth prayer honoring Bhumi Devi this evening. More details on that will come.

The kirtan will be guided by a quartet of devotional musicians and yogies: Nora Fredheim, Christian Andvig and Mette and Magnus Støre.

Kirtan is a co-creation where every voice is welcome. The mantras will be easy to follow, and no previous experience with this practice is required. If you have a small rattle then feel free to bring it and shake along as the energy rises :)

Doors open at 17:15 and the kirtan starts at 17:30. Please arrive some time before we start to allow time to register and settle into the space.

Blending mantra song and meditation this ancient practice of bhakti yoga was developed to clear the mind, open the heart and invite into ones life a tangible and intimate connection to deeper aspects of ourselves and of the universe. Between the chants we come back to silence, and share stories explaining the meaning of the mantras.
